A Welland resident, Adam lives in Ward 1 with his wife and two children. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brock University and a Master of Planning from the University of Guelph. Working With Adam.

A resident of Ward 1 and a lifelong resident of Welland, Adam wants to continue to work with you for a better future.

Affordable Housing

Everyone should have the opportunity to find a safe and affordable place to call home.

Adam has made affordable housing a focus of his work on Council and serves on Welland’s Affordable Housing Advisory Committee.

During his time on Council, 267 affordable housing units have been approved. Adam will continue supporting housing options that respond to the needs of individuals,
families and seniors while helping Welland grow into a community where people can afford to live.

Protecting & Enhancing Our Recreational Areas

Parks, recreation facilities and public spaces contribute to the quality of life in Welland and provide places for residents of all ages to connect and stay active.

Adam serves as Vice-Chair of the Young’s Sportsplex Facility Advisory Committee and supports continued investment in Welland’s recreational spaces. The upcoming Michael Drive Park is one example of new recreational space being added to the community.

Adam will continue to support accessible, well-maintained recreational spaces as Welland grows.

Sustainable & Balanced Growth

Welland is growing, and that growth needs to be planned carefully. With a background in urban and rural planning, Adam understands the importance of balancing new
development with the infrastructure, services and amenities that make a community work.

Adam supports building different housing options, sustainable economic growth and opportunities that attract investment and create jobs—while planning for the long-term needs of Welland and its residents.

Maintaining & Protecting Local Healthcare

Access to healthcare close to home matters to Welland residents and families.

Adam supports the renovation of the existing Welland hospital site and planning for the future Welland Hospital Redevelopment Project. He also advocates for the expansion of long-term care beds so that seniors can have access to care in their community.

Adam will continue supporting investment and planning that protects local healthcare
services and responds to Welland’s future needs.

Protecting & Investing in Our Infrastructure

Strong communities depend on reliable infrastructure and well-maintained public assets. Adam supports continued investment in the roads, sidewalks, transportation networks and other infrastructure that residents rely on every day.

Adam has served on the Niagara Region Transportation Strategy Steering Committee and has advocated for sidewalk improvements on South Pelham Road, Woodlawn Road and Rice Road.

As Welland continues to grow, Adam believes infrastructure planning and investment needs to keep pace with the needs of residents and neighbourhoods.
